MyMedicare is a new voluntary patient registration with a medical centre.  It is a system designed to formalise your relationship with Next Practice Deakin and the medical practitioner you see.

MyMedicare promotes continuity of care which is better for you and your health. We believe it is a really important initiative and encourage you to register with us. If you do, not only will your health benefit but you will also have discounted fees and access to services to promote continuity of care.

As you are not registered with us for MyMedicare your GAP fee will be $65.

If you are registered with us then the GAP fee will be $60.  This will be discounted after six consultations in a calendar year for the rest of the year.

If you are concerned about being able to pay fees to meet your healthcare needs please speak to our patient advocate.

In exceptional circumstances and at the sole discretion of the treating doctor, discounted or bulk billing may be offered on compassionate grounds.

We are committed to providing equitable and accessible care for our patients.

We have therefore introduced a Next Practice Deakin safety net.

If you have to attend Next Practice Deakin regularly and have more than 6 GP consultations in the year where you faced an out of pocket cost then we will bulk bill all your future GP consultations for the remainder of the calendar year for concession card holders.  For those who do not have a concession card the fee will be discounted to a $36 gap for the remainded of the calendar year.
